    Mommy picked me and Rae up and drove us home. I pulled her upstairs and closed my door. We sat on the floor. "Dump out your valentines!" I said to her as I did that to mine. She did. 
    "I got one from everybody," I said happily.
    "Me too, but not one from Derek," She replied. Derek gave me one that was a big read heart with lace around the edges.

     I ran up to my room. My babysitter, Nicole,was there watching me when I got back home. I dumped out my valentines. One from everyone except Derek. Mommy didn;t let me give valentines.

     I looked at my pile of valentines. 20, I counted three times. There are 21 people in my class. I got one from everyone but Derek. Great. I huffed.
