Short Story about Rae (DP story)

Setting- right after Jacinda takes Rae-

My name is Rae. My mom kidnapped me from the Edison Group, as weird as that sounds. It was my birth mom, Jacinda. I am an exustio half demon. "Rachelle, I bet you have many questions," She said to me from the front seat of her car.
"Jacinda," It sounded weird calling her that but it would be weirder to call her Mom, you know, "I like to go by Rae. And yeah i have a couple questions,"
"Okay than, Rae, ask away," She smiled at me when we stopped at a red light,"And you can call me mom,"
"Um, Okay. Why did you put me up for adoption in a human adoption center?" I asked her.
"Oh Rae, putting you up for adoption was a mistake. I loved you very much. I didn't know that it would be a problem putting you in a human adoption center," She sighed.
"Why did you kidnap me?" I asked than immediatly regretted it.
"Because I heard from Dr. Davidoff that you weren't responding to the treatments as you were supposed to," She said dropping her head while keeping her eyes on the road. My mouth dropped.
"No! That's not true! They were making my abilities worse so I didn't do the stuff they wanted!" I crossed my arms.
"Rae, calm down. And, I heard about Elizabeth," She said.
"You heard about Liz? Is she really dead?" I asked her.
"Yes, she died because she wasn't responding to the treatment as they wanted. So I took you to keep you safe," She said to me. I looked out my window and saw a familliar face on a poster. "Mom, Mom! Wait pull over!" She looked at me and sighed. She pulled over and I ran back to the sign. MISSING GIRL CHLOE SAUNDERS. $500,000 REWARD. Below it was a picture of Chloe.
"Is that someone you know?" Jacinda asked me.
"Yeah. It's Chloe," I replied.
